Robin Rodrick Brown , 67, passed away after battling a long illness on March17,2023 peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.
Robin Rodrick Brown was born the middle child of five on July 30, 1955 in Springfield to Joanne and Donald Brown.
Through his childhood , Robin participated in Boys Scouts with his family. They traveled to many States across the country visiting many State Parks. His dad making sure they stop and get a photo of the kids pointing at each states sign.
At the time the family lived in Junction City Kansas where Robin started his first job as a paper delivery boy and then a cook at a local restaurant where he learned to cook a fantastic omelette.
He then moved to Sioux City Iowa where he graduated high school in 1973 and purchased his first home working for a variety of meat packers.
In 1976 he married Missy Brown and from this marriage he became the father of 4 beautiful girls.
In 1984 Robin moved back to his home town of Springfield to seek a different kind of employment than packing houses. This is when he met Dan Taylor and began his life with him. He was employed at Hudson Foods and went from starting on the line to Supervisor over shipping and handling.
In 1986 he purchased The Landmark Motel in Branson. Working tirelessly he continued working at Hudson Foods and driving highway 65 back and forth for several years.
In 1994 , Robin retired from Hudson Foods.
In 1995 he sold the Motel and began traveling over the next few years.
Robin travelled to Florida many times. He loved the ocean and relaxing on the beach. He even took his kids on a once in a lifetime trip to Walt Disney. Staying in the park and having breakfast with Goofy.
In 2000 he moved back to Springfield. He remodeled his home and took many cruises over the next few years visiting several Caribbean islands. He hand fed monkeys, swam with sting rays and snorkeled in the clearest blue water. He was able to see places and do things that he thought he would never do.
After that Robins health began to deteriorate . He spent the next few years visiting with family and friends and playing with his dogs who will miss him.
Robin loved his daughters. Making sure he spent time with them every summer. Driving each summer to pick them up to be able to spend the time with them. He would have done anything for them.
Robin leaves behind many friends and family. 4 daughters, Bobbie of Colorado, Katti of Colorado, Jenny of Missouri & Tammy of Colorado. Also 9 Grandchildren & 1 Great Grandchildren. Also his sister Lydia of Missouri and Roger of Missouri.
