RayShaun Lamar Jones, 23, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026. He was born on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 in Springfield, MO to Rosetta Belle Segrist and Kartize Lamont Jones.

RayShaun was known for his contagious laugh, a laugh that could light up a room and bring smiles to everyone around him. He had a remarkable gift for making people feel valued, welcomed, and cared for. No matter what he had going on in his own life, he always made time for others. His kindness, loyalty, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. RayShaun will be remembered for the love, laughter, and joy he brought to the lives of those around him. Deeply loved and cherished by his family and friends, he had a way of bringing people together. His warmth, sense of humor, and genuine care for others created lasting memories that will be treasured for years to come. RayShaun lived with a big heart and touched countless lives through the relationships he built and the love he shared.

He was proceeded in death by his father Kartize Jones.

RayShaun is survived by his mother, Rosetta Segrist, his sister Alexis Powell, five brothers Davontay Jones, Jorrayel Segrist, Kartize Jones Jr., Robert Jones and D'Andre Jones and many beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Though his time with us was far too short, RayShaun leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and connection. Through his final selfless gift, he also gave the gift of life to others, ensuring that his legacy will continue to live on in countless ways. The lives he touched, the memories he created and the love he shared will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held from 10-12 PM on Friday, June 12, 2026 at the Eastlawn Funeral Home, 2244 E. Pythian, Springfield, MO 65802 with graveside services to follow at 12 PM. His Celebration of Life will be held at the Battlefield Community Center, 5434 S. Tower Dr., Battlefield, MO 65619.
